What is free, and what do you need?
You can create a family space and start using MiMoments without paying. Bring your own compatible Android tablet, power supply and internet connection for setup and new photos. Free refers to the software and free access, not a free physical photo frame.
The Android app is currently a preview download from this website. MiMoments does not sell tablets. Read the current terms before creating your family; free access is not a promise of unlimited storage or unchanged features forever.
From your family account to photos on the wall
Create an account, verify your email and create your family space. Install MiMoments on the tablet and choose photo-frame mode. It displays a six-digit code, so you do not need to sign into the frame with your family password.
Sign in on your phone or the website, connect the screen with its code and upload your first photos. Create an album and choose it for the screen. Your family can then send new moments without someone operating the tablet.
Share with grandparents and the rest of the family
Invite family members to your shared space. You can also share an upload link for a particular screen, allowing guests to send photos without controlling its settings. Give that link only to people you want to receive photos from.
Choose which photos and albums appear on each screen. Use ordered playback, shuffle or a collage. Optional extras include a clock, family calendar and simple daily display hours.
Free access, campaigns and connectivity
Paid subscriptions are not yet available for purchase. Plans that allow campaigns may use up to 5% of screen time for advertising after the owner accepts the campaign terms. MiMoments is therefore not described as an unconditionally ad-free service.
Photos already downloaded and stored locally on an Android frame can keep playing during an internet outage. New photos and changes need a connection. Try your existing tablet and check its connection and placement before mounting it.
